Phase II
Program Overview
Access-Med Phase II is a transitional year program in which accepted students are simultaneously admitted to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). Students take medical school courses during the fall semester of their senior year. These courses count toward Biology elective credits for the B.A./B.S. degree. Upon successful completion of these courses, students automatically matriculate into RWJMS.
Eligibility Requirements
- Student must be of African American, Puerto Rican, Mexican American, or Native American descent. Other Hispanic students may be considered if they have significant financial need, demonstrated by a NJ Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) grant.
- Must be an Access Med Phase I student and should have participated in the ODASIS MCAT Course
- Must have a cumulative and science GPA of at least 3.4
- Students must be eligible for graduation from Rutgers University at the end of the "transitional year" at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

- Access Med Phase II application
- Four (4) letters of recommendations
- Personal statement
- Official transcript
