Dr Shawna HudsonDr. Shawna Hudson, ODASIS alumna, an honoree at the prestigious 2021 Hall of Fame Honorees of the Rutgers African-American Alumni Alliance

Dr. Hudson is a three time graduate of Rutgers University. She received her B.A. from Rutgers College in 1992 where she was a James Dickson Carr Scholar and served on the board for New Student Orientation graduating with the highest departmental honors in Sociology. She received a Trustee Fellowship to continue her graduate studies at Rutgers University-New Brunswick where she received her M.A. in 1995 and Ph.D. in 2001 in Sociology. Dr. Hudson completed post-doctoral training through a fellowship awarded from the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research.

On October 2, 2021, she was one of the distinguished honorees for the 2021 Hall of Fame Honorees of the Rutgers African-American Alumni Alliance at the Hyatt Regency. Our Rutgers University president Jonathan Holloway was also one of the distinguished honorees. Three ODASIS alums, who are presently attending Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, were also in the event.
