The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund program (EOF) was established in 1968 to serve as a channel of higher education for educationally and/or academically disadvantaged students in New Jersey. The fund provides financial and academic assistance to students that are motivated to attend a college within New Jersey. Students are required to attend a pre-freshman summer program that provides them with the necessary academic enrichment tools required for college. Students take basic math, English, and a basic science course during the summer which prepares them for the rigors of college. Additionally, students are awarded supplemental financial aid to help cover college costs such as books, fees, and room and board.

ODASIS is proud to announce that within the past 18 years, sixty-six EOF students are currently matriculated in a health professions program while sixty-eight have already received their M.D., M.P.H., D.O., D.C., P.A., R.N., Pharm. D., or D.D.S. degrees. The class of 2009 & 2010 had 17 of our ODASIS EOF students accepted into medical schools of their choice; furthermore, 18 of our ODASIS EOF alumni (2010-2011) graduated from health professional schools with degrees including D.O., D.D.S., M.D., and M.D./ M.P.H, and a total of 48 of our EOF students in the past five years have been accepted into medical schools. These successes are a result of a committed and comprehensive partnership between ODASIS and the Educational Opportunity Fund.
